On June 15, the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) Investment Promotion Roadshow and the "Sharing the Big Market · Exporting to China" Shandong Special Event were held in Qingdao. Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong, Vice Governor of Shandong Province Wen Nuan, and Vice President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Zhang Weiwu attended the event and delivered speeches. Lewis Neal, Trade Commissioner to China of the UK Department for Business and Trade, was also present.

Yan Dong stated that China remains steadfast in expanding high-standard opening-up. Through voluntary and unilateral opening-up measures and by hosting major expos such as the CIIE, China is sharing the dividends of its development with the world. The 9th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 this year. It will synergize with brand events such as "Exporting to China" to build platforms and bridges for enterprises from all countries to align with the needs of the Chinese market and enter the Chinese market. China will make greater efforts to expand imports and promote balanced development of imports and exports. He sincerely welcomed enterprises and stakeholders from industry, academia, and research to actively participate in the CIIE, and to make full use of this major platform that connects the Chinese market with global resources, to strengthen exchanges and matchmaking, expand international procurement, and deepen industrial cooperation.
The event was attended by over 30 CIIE exhibitors, including 19 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders, as well as nearly 90 entities from Shandong Province, who engaged in matchmaking activities.
